Working with the charity The Orangutan Project, the team driving this worthy project are like minded creatives from Australia, South Africa, United Kingdom, Canada and the United States; with more putting their hand up each day. So why Orangutans?
Project Orangutan says:
"Currently there are more than 2000 orphaned Orangutans living in orphanages where they are cared for like little humans to the age of 8 and taught how to fend for themselves before being relocated. Why not just send them 50 bucks? Because I believe we can do better. We registered with Orange Tango to raise funds for The Orangutan Project, and the next step is to use the medium we love to contribute to and raise awareness of the dire situation in Borneo and Sumatra."With your help Project Orangutan aim to publish a 22 page printed comic and a (est. 88 pages) hard cover book called 'Operation Orangutan'. The books will feature pin-ups and maximum 2 page stories featuring their honoured guests, the Orangutans.
